Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to join the M&A team in the Stockholm office of Alantra, a leading international investment bank with a strong European footprint and growing global platform.

Alantra operates with a lean deal team structure, providing VPs with significant ownership over transactions, direct exposure to clients, and the opportunity to play a key role in execution and junior team development

Main responsibilities

  • Take a lead role in origination activities with private equity clients as well as corporates
  • Support origination/commercial/marketing efforts, i.e. being overall responsible for preparing pitches, inc. crafting equity story, valuation, buyer identification, process design, etc
  • Lead day-to-day execution of M&A and/or financing transactions
  • Coordinate due diligence processes (financial, legal, tax, commercial, etc.)
  • Manage data rooms, Q&A processes, and interaction with advisors
  • Draft and review key transaction documents (IMs, teasers, management presentations, process letters)
  • Oversee financial models, valuation analyses, and transaction structuring
  • Support negotiation phases alongside senior team members
  • Ensure timelines are met and key project workstreams are proactively managed

Client Management

  • Act as a primary contact for clients during ongoing projects
  • Maintain regular communication and provide strategic input throughout the process
  • Prepare and lead client meetings and update calls

  • Supervise and mentor Associates and Analysts
  • Ensure high standards of analytical rigor and presentation quality
  • Allocate tasks efficiently and manage team workload

Requirements:

  • 5–8 years of relevant professional experience within M&A, corporate finance advisory, investment banking, or similar fields
  • Experience working in international deal environments
  • Ideally (but not necessarily) a background in technology, software, or IT services transactions, which is an increasingly important focus area for the team
  • A profile corresponding to Senior Associate or VP level, ensuring an appropriate experience to manage more junior team members

  • Experience from well-regarded advisory firms or investment banks
