About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Securities Research Specialist
In this role, you will:
Provide support in the editing and publishing functions within the Global Research and Economics Group in Wells Fargo Securities
Generate research packet products, post research documents to market data vendors, update and maintain mailing lists, and provide client access to web sites
Assign reports to Editors and Supervisory Analysts to ensure the most efficient use of resources
Maintain databases
Receive directions from leaders
Exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of Securities Research experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Deep experience in Leveraged Finance, including leveraged loans (TLB), high yield bonds, LBO / sponsor-backed financing, refinancing and liability management transactions
Proven track record in debt origination and syndication across US and EMEA markets, working closely with global LevFin / DCM teams
Strong capability to lead end-to-end deal execution, including preparation of pitch books, RFPs, information memoranda, investor materials, term sheets, pricing analysis, and transaction documentation
Desired Qualifications:
Advanced ability to analyze credit and capital structures, including leverage assessment, cash flow evaluation, comparable transactions, and market positioning
Demonstrated expertise in structuring complex debt transactions across instrument, pricing, tenor, covenant packages, currency, and investor strategy
Deep understanding of leveraged products and markets, including institutional loans, high yield, hybrids, and liability management solutions
Strong collaboration across Syndicate, Sales & Trading, Corporate Finance, ESG, and Coverage teams, with ability to operate seamlessly in global deal teams
Excellent ability to manage senior stakeholders across US and EMEA, with clear communication and strong ownership mindset
Proven leadership in mentoring and managing junior teams, including training, guidance, and rigorous quality review of deliverables
Ability to generate differentiated ideas and financing solutions, contributing to client strategy and transaction origination
Key role in building and scaling the India Leveraged Finance franchise, with a focus on deeper integration and partnership with US teams
MBA / Master’s in Finance from a premier institution with 7+ years of relevant Leveraged Finance / DCM experience
Strong knowledge of accounting, financial concepts, and credit markets, with familiarity in tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Python, and VBA considered an advantage
Job Expectations:
High proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel, with ability to deliver client-ready materials under tight timelines
Strong familiarity with LevFin market databases, including FactSet, Capital IQ, Bloomberg, LCD, LevFin Insights, and Factiva
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence interacting with senior professionals globally
Ability to operate in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment, managing multiple priorities under pressure
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality output
Proactive mindset with focus on innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement
Practical use of AI tools for summarization, content drafting, and data analysis with appropriate human oversight
Strong critical thinking to interpret and validate AI-generated insights
Awareness of responsible AI use, including ethics, data privacy, and compliance
Commitment to continuous learning and adaptability in a rapidly evolving technology landscape
