Our range of services and strong global presence enables us to complete large, multi-dimensional cross-border, and regional transactions.

Deutsche Bank is currently in an exciting phase of its growth journey having just released its new corporate strategy in November 2025 focused on continued strength and investment in its Investment Banking & Capital Markets division.  Under this strategy and 2028 plan, the Strategic Equity Transactions Group (SETG) is a core focus for expansion.

SETG structures, originates and executes bespoke equity transactions for corporations, financial institutions (including private equity firms) and family offices. The team operates on the private side of Capital Markets, working alongside client coverage teams in Investment Banking, and other product teams such as Equity Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets and Leveraged Finance. Example products / transactions executed by SETG include convertible securities underwriting, equity-linked financings such as margin lending and variable prepaid forwards, and hedging, monetization or stake accumulation strategies via corporate equity derivatives.

What You’ll Do:

  • Work directly with senior-most bankers to develop and maintain own client relationships, focusing on delivery of advice on equity capital markets issuances and opportunities
  • Create and deliver high-value financial analysis to targeted universe of clients while identifying new prospects to engage directly or through partner coverage teams
  • Take lead execution role on live deal opportunities, guiding coordination across internal teams (Legal, Syndicate, Sales&Trading, etc.) and external stakeholders
  • Oversee financial modeling, valuation analyses, and preparation of client materials (pitch books, deal pertinent documents, board presentations, etc.)

How You’ll Lead:

  • Develop and cultivate strong client relationships, and spearhead entire deal lifecycle (identifying opportunities, client pitches, winning mandates, transaction execution, etc.)
  • Provide thought leadership on market trends, product innovations, and client strategy
  • Work collaboratively with other parts of the bank to offer multiple products and solutions that best fit client objectives
  • Identify issues, gaps and process improvements through open communication and monitoring of productivity against benchmarks
  • Ensure that bank policies and guidelines applicable to the division are complied with to ensure that risk is appropriately mitigated
  • Mentor and develop junior bankers on the team, fostering a high-performance, collaborative team culture

Skills You’ll Need:

  • 6-10+ years of relevant work experience from an investment bank or other large financial institution with demonstrated expertise in equity-linked products and derivatives
  • Proven track record of independently and proactively servicing multiple clients and effectively managing numerous priorities, while generating significant revenue
  • Deep, established network and extensive overall market/product knowledge, including legal/compliance frameworks
  • Strong commercial acumen: understanding client/market dynamics, proactively tackling challenges and seizing opportunities as they arise
  • FINRA Series 7, 63 & 79 licenses preferred

Expectations:

It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role work in person in the New York, NY office.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $110,000 to $225,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications.  Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of renumeration.
