Major Duties:

  • You will coordinate and assist leading enterprise-wide implementation of complementary inspector general programs such as: command inspections and investigations and audit management.
  • You will receive complaints via various means of communication and determine appropriate jurisdiction for action of complaints from throughout the Western Recruiting Region.
  • You will review allegations to determine proper course of action; assign case work to appropriate command/staff for further investigation; analyze reports for completeness; and ensure timely submission to appropriate authority.
  • You will develop case files for complaints, grievances, and allegations; communicate with complainants, witnesses, and informants as needed; and analyze irregularities in information gathered.
  • You will assist the Depot Inspector Chief, Deputy Inspector, and Command Inspector General in the execution of their duties as appropriate
  • You will compile, edit, and complete preparation of reports of investigations.

Qualifications: GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Assisting in analyzing and evaluating investigative data and information; AND assisting in identifying patterns, trends and linkages to provide recommendations to investigators/senior officials. GS-11. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: conducting organizational investigations and coordinating/assisting inspections, audits, and similar organizational oversight/investigation programs.
