Job Summary

The Inventory Supervisor - Overnight Shift is responsible for overseeing and managing all inventory control activities during the overnight hours. This role ensures the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of inventory operations within the distribution center, maintaining optimal stock levels and supporting timely order fulfillment.

Job Responsibilities

* Supervise and lead a team of inventory associates during the overnight shift, including scheduling, training, performance management, and conflict resolution.
* Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts, physical inventories, and reconciliation processes.
* Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, including identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
* Oversee the receiving, put-away, picking, and shipping of products, ensuring adherence to established procedures and quality standards.
* Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and other inventory software to track inventory movement, generate reports, and optimize storage utilization.
* Implement and enforce safety protocols and company policies to maintain a safe working environment for all team members.
* Collaborate with other departments (e.g., operations, quality assurance, customer service) to ensure smooth workflow and address inventory-related issues.
* Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains within inventory operations and contribute to their implementation.
* Prepare and present regular inventory reports to management, highlighting key metrics, challenges, and recommendations.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and company standards regarding inventory management.

Job Qualifications

* High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.

*Typically requires 3+ years of subject matter experience including exhibiting leadership capabilities.
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in inventory control or warehouse operations, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
* Proven experience working the overnight shift is essential.
* Strong understanding of inventory management principles, cycle counting, and physical inventory processes.
* Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other inventory-related software.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
* Ability to operate various material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
* Must be able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work overtime as needed.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$52,700 - $87,900
