Inventory Specialist

Job Description:

The Inventory Specialist is a critical member of our electronics prototyping team, ensuring materials flow efficiently from receipt through build. This role owns incoming material inspection, inventory accuracy, and kitting support for high‑mix, low‑volume electronics assemblies. You will work closely with technicians and production teams to proactively manage material availability and support fast-paced assemblies.

You'll also be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:

  • Receive and verify incoming materials against purchase orders, BOMs, and documentation
  • Inspect components for damage, correct part numbers, and quantity accuracy
  • Prepare completed assemblies for shipment, including depanelization and packaging
  • Communicate material shortages and work with stakeholders to resolve issues
  • Create and maintain component data within the inventory management system (packages, footprints, attributes)
  • Kit components for scheduled builds using automated storage systems and manual picking methods
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels through system transactions and scheduled cycle counts
  • Update internal order management systems with material and shipment status
  • Manage moisture‑sensitive components per MSL guidelines, including bake processes
  • Maintain facility‑wide ESD and MSL compliance standards
  • Support SMT technicians with feeder loading and machine changeovers as needed

What TOOLS you'll bring with you:

  • Experience in an electronics manufacturing or electronics prototyping environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of inventory control principles (FIFO, LIFO, MSD/MSL)
  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot automated storage systems and X‑ray component counters

Other TOOLS we prefer you to have:

  • Experience supporting SMT and Through Hole assembly operations
  • Familiarity with electronic component packaging standards and handling requirements
