Inventory Data Analyst Intern

We are seeking a Inventory Data Analyst Intern to join our Pueblo, Colorado team. This internship provides an opportunity to apply your classroom learning to real-world challenges and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic operational environment.  Over the summer, you will work with the operations staff to ensure mobile equipment parts are correctly documented, tracked, and integrated into Oracle EAM and internal workflows.

  • Catalog current stock of parts intended for mobile equipment, ensuring accurate descriptions, item attributes, and classifications.
  • Utilize the internal workflow system to submit requests for new inventory item setup based on cataloged parts.
  • Build and maintain structured records of newly cataloged items.
  • Work closely with garage supervisor, stock attendant, warehouse supervisor and maintenance expediter to determine location naming, stocking levels and organization methods.
  • Support maintenance technicians by assisting with work orders and verifying completion with the maintenance supervisor.
  • Attend admin and down‑day meetings to communicate outstanding EAM work, ask clarifying questions, and contribute to maintenance planning.
  • Contact Oracle and internal helpdesk support on behalf of team members to resolve system issues.
  • Design tracking sheet of parts put into inventory along with open and received purchase orders.
  • Track open and received purchase orders and ensure accurate data entry and visibility.
  • Scrub and validate large datasets to identify errors, inconsistencies, and anomalies.
  • Develop Asset Bills of Materials (BOMs) in Oracle EAM for both existing and newly inventoried parts.
  • Set up metered Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks for critical mobile equipment.
  • Performs other duties as they might be assigned.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or any other related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage large data sets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work at a desk and perform field observations in mill environments requiring full PPE.
  • Willingness to collaborate with operations and maintenance staff in hands‑on environments.
  • Familiarity with Oracle EAM or other enterprise asset management systems (preferred but not required).

Term

  • May-August 2026, following commencement of Spring Semester

Compensation

  • Undergraduate experience $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
