We are currently recruiting for an Inventory Control Clerk to support increasing customer demands based at our site located in Bellshill.
Working hours: Monday - Friday 08:00-16:30
Salary: Competitive starting salary, paid monthly.
Duties and Responsibilities:
In this role you will complete varied tasks which include:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory, purchasing, shipping, and related records using our Warehouse Management System (WMS).
Compile and organise data from purchase orders, invoices, requisitions, and accounting reports.
Monitor stock levels and identify when replenishment is required.
Investigate damages, inventory discrepancies, and shrinkage issues. Occasional visits to the Coldstore may be needed—full PPE is provided. This is primarily an office-based role.
Locate products to verify correct product IDs, perform regular cycle counts, and support full physical inventory checks.
Review stock numbers, pallet IDs, approved substitutes, and other key information using catalogues, manuals, and product lists to ensure shipping order accuracy.
Review inventory files to identify unused, excess, or damaged items and recommend appropriate disposition.
Adhere to all regulatory requirements and company safety policies, standards, and procedures.
Assist with new goods-in and goods-out booking requests via Outlook and, occasionally, by phone.
Who we're looking for:
Previous experience of stock control
Previous experience of warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is desirable but not essential, a willingness to learn is a must as these systems can be taught.
Computer literate, i.e., a confident user of all Microsoft packages & Outlook.
Excellent organisation and administration skills.
Confident communicator both face to face and over the telephone
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work within a team in a fast-paced environment.
