Inventory Control Clerk (Days)

We are currently recruiting for an Inventory Control Clerk to support increasing customer demands based at our site located in Bellshill. 

Working hours: Monday - Friday 08:00-16:30

Salary: Competitive starting salary, paid monthly.

Duties and Responsibilities:

In this role you will complete varied tasks which include:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory, purchasing, shipping, and related records using our Warehouse Management System (WMS).

  • Compile and organise data from purchase orders, invoices, requisitions, and accounting reports.

  • Monitor stock levels and identify when replenishment is required.

  • Investigate damages, inventory discrepancies, and shrinkage issues. Occasional visits to the Coldstore may be needed—full PPE is provided. This is primarily an office-based role.

  • Locate products to verify correct product IDs, perform regular cycle counts, and support full physical inventory checks.

  • Review stock numbers, pallet IDs, approved substitutes, and other key information using catalogues, manuals, and product lists to ensure shipping order accuracy.

  • Review inventory files to identify unused, excess, or damaged items and recommend appropriate disposition.

  • Adhere to all regulatory requirements and company safety policies, standards, and procedures.

  • Assist with new goods-in and goods-out booking requests via Outlook and, occasionally, by phone.

Who we're looking for:

  • Previous experience of stock control

  • Previous experience of warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is desirable but not essential, a willingness to learn is a must as these systems can be taught.

  • Computer literate, i.e., a confident user of all Microsoft packages & Outlook.

  • Excellent organisation and administration skills.

  • Confident communicator both face to face and over the telephone

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to work within a team in a fast-paced environment.
