Position Overview

As an Inventory Analyst, you’ll be the Sherlock Holmes of transactions, the data whisperer of warehouses, and the guardian of efficient inventory management. The Inventory Analyst is responsible for inventory accuracy plant wide.  The Inventory Analyst must understand all types of material movement transactions in order to troubleshoot any discrepancies. The discrepancies are then communicated to the involved parties in order to understand the impact to inventory and prevent additional issues.  This activity includes cycle counting and error processing in IQMS without delays. If you like tracking items and getting to the bottom of things with thorough follow up and follow through this role is for you.

Basic Background Requirements

  • Mastery of IQMS Inventory transactions and inventory management
  • Attention to detail sharper than a ninja’s sword
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Excellent computer skills a must (Excel, Word, Power Point)
  • Strong mathematical and data analytics skills
  • Ability to make data driven recommendations and decisions
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Key Performance Objectives

Short Term: (0 to 3 months)

  • Learn about Kimball Vision and Guiding Principles to lead development of appropriate people growth & development practices.
  • Learn the quality system and production requirements.
  • Develop solid relationships with internal and external customers
  • Daily analysis of inventory transactions
  •  Start overseeing cycle counting process

Midterm: (3 to 6 months)

  • Proficient with KEIND requirements for quality and production.
  • Strategizing ways to improve our inventory management processes
  • Lead monthly inventory meetings armed with data, graphs, and a dash of charisma.
  • Align area metrics with overall department goals

Long Term: 6-12 months +

  • Implementation of inventory efficiency improvements
  • Train staff on the utilization of ERP production reporting and inventory management within work centers
  • Maintain a cycle count accuracy of 99%
