A day in the life of an Intern in Transaction Services Sales

Based in Brussels, the intern will work closely together with the Transaction Services (“TS”) Sales team members and serve as a supporting role to the team in promoting business relating to corporate clients of ING

• Support the TS experts and manager with preparation and execution of deals and projects.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders including product teams, credit review team, risk team and legal team to assist on client account planning, credit review and documentation negotiation.
• Map out new opportunities and build a reasonable understanding of various ING products related to the team portfolio including Payments, Trade Finance, Working Capital and other strategic initiatives of ING Wholesale Banking.

• Current Master student at a reputable university
• Interest in financial services
• Prior work experience in financial services will be an advantage
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle pressure and tight deadlines
• Highly proficient in EXCEL, PowerPoint and word processing applications
• Self-motivated and confident with a high degree of initiative
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English

As an intern in the transaction Service Sales, you will have the opportunity to:

• Get in contact with different products that ING offers to its WB clients
• Work with different commercial initiatives supporting the growth plan of Wholesale banking
• Develop a large international network of colleagues within ING   

The team
You will be part of the Transaction Services Sales team. The team consists of 7 people located in Brussels. We are product sales experts covering Payments, Trade Finance, Working Capital and we aim to further develop the relationships with all Belgium corporates focusing on our product offering.
