Enabler for smaller, more powerful, and more energy-efficient microchips
Working for tomorrow today.
Around 80 percent of all microchips worldwide are produced using ZEISS technologies. As the centerpiece of every electronically controlled system, they have become an integral part of our everyday lives – whether in smartphones, smart homes or smart factories. ZEISS is a technology leader in the field of semiconductor manufacturing equipment. With high-precision lithography optics, photomask systems and process control solutions, ZEISS enables the production of ever smaller, increasingly powerful, and more energy-efficient microchips, and thus plays a pivotal role in the age of micro- and nanoelectronics.
With us, you have the opportunity to perfectly combine your studies with practical experience while actively contributing to exciting projects. This allows you to gain valuable skills, expand your network, and grow both professionally and personally. For our development department, we are looking for an Intern (f/m/x) in the field of thermal and mechanical analysis and design within micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS).
Build up basic knowledge on mechanic and thermal behavior MEMS components, supported through analytical and numerical models
Development of a system model for describing thermomechanical behavior of the system (Python or Matlab)
Development of simulation methods for highly accurate thermal and mechanical analyses, potentially expanding to further disciplines
Concise documentation of methods, results and developed scripts
Currently enrolled in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, micro/nanotechnology, physics (applied) or equivalent
Highly motivated and curious mindset with a drive to question the status-quo and find optimal solutions, along with a structured and independent working style
Very good theoretical understanding of mechanics and thermodynamics, experience in mechanical and thermal FEM simulations (ideally Ansys) and affinity for scripting
Advanced level in English, German is a plus
Prior experience with micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS)
Sounds exciting? Then become part of #teamZEISS and help us shape the future! Please provide your complete application documents (CV, transcript of records, etc.).
