Other requirements: Must be enrolled at a SG university for the duration of your internship and doing a full-time credit-bearing internship
Language requirement: Written and spoken fluency in English

This role sits in our Jurong R&D Pilot Plant.
What will you do?
Assist engineers in preparing and starting up flowskid (pumps, PFRs, WFE etc.) for continuous manufacturing
Assist engineers to test and commission new equipment
Manage and execute assigned projects in one the following areas according to PMI project management framework:
1) New equipment introduction
2) Instrumentation and Automation
3) Six sigma & continuous improvement
What will you learn?
Industrial Insights: Be part of a team with diversed engineering specializations. Work alongside with professionals from different field of expertise and gain valuable insights to Process Engineering, Commissioning and Validation, Instrumentations and Automation, Mechanical Engineering, Facility Management
Project Management and Execution: Learn to be a decision maker through project execution. Understand the task/problem, define the scope, study the feasibilities, select the solution and execute the project. Manage your project and be involved in all stages of your project. Procure the hardware (eg. Valves, piping, instrumentations), design the equipment and automation logics, direct the construction/modification, test and commission the new setup
Be Coached by Our Diverse Team of Experts
Chemical Engineering: Fluid mechanic applications, Health & Safety Engineering Controls, Heat transfer, Chemical Reaction Kinetics
Project Management: Learn execution and management of project via the PMP framework. Obtain first hand experience on contractors management
Automation: Extend Matlab/C++ computing knowledge to design control logics for instrument/equipment
Instrumentation: Learn the various types of I/Os, how field instruments are connected to the DCS, and how to select the right instruments for the project
Mechanical: Exposure to the different piping/tubing standards, selection of materials, draw piping isometrics
Maintenance: Appreciate how equipment are classified to different criticalities, understand calibration basics
What are we looking for?
Must be comfortable with working onsite in our Jurong manufacturing site
A keen and proactive learner with a ‘can-do’ attitude
Willingness to work in production plant (chemical facility) environment
Adaptability to change and working under pressure
Strong problem-solving skills driven by curiosity
Great project management skills and the ability to prioritise
Excellent communication skills to work with colleagues of different age groups and education backgrounds effectively
