About the Role
The Group Investment Middle Office Intern will support the Performance Reporting and Analytics team in delivering accurate and timely performance attribution, risk reporting, and customized analysis for private asset portfolios and other investment products. This role offers hands-on experience in investment performance analytics, data quality management, and operational process improvement within a global investment environment.Key Responsibilities
Assist in the production and review of performance attribution and risk reports for private asset portfolios.
Support the preparation of performance attribution reports across various funds and asset classes.
Help in compiling returns, attribution/contribution analysis, and risk characteristics reports, including ad-hoc customized reporting.
Participate in identifying and resolving anomalies in attribution, risk, and performance data, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
Conduct basic research and provide insights on investment performance, benchmark deviations, asset allocation, and portfolio movements.
Coordinate with internal teams and external data providers to ensure data quality and timeliness.
Assist in documentation of processes, policies, and procedures to maintain compliance standards.
Support initiatives for automation and process improvement, including learning basic data scripting and database tools.
Collaborate with team members on projects and contribute to operational efficiency enhancements.
Job Requirements :
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with data visualization tools or programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL) is a plus.
Good understanding of investment concepts, performance attribution, and risk metrics preferred.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills and willingness to learn.
