Education required: Preferably with a bachelor degree background in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Political Science or related fields. Will consider those with a different formal education background but with strong interest and passion for communications/government affairs. 

Other requirements: Must be enrolled at a SG university for the duration of your internship and doing a full-time credit-bearing internship 

Language requirement: Written and spoken fluency in English 

Internship period: July to December 2026

What will you do?  

We are looking for an intern who will partner with our Commercial Communications and Government Affairs team to drive communications efforts and support advocacy planning. The intern will collaborate with various teams and functions to produce communication materials, manage internal stakeholders, and contribute to highpriority projects that advance advocacy planning. 

You will be involved in: 

  • Leading the development and production of engaging and fresh communications tactics 

  • Developing ongoing communication campaign and assets, including but not limited to slides, briefing documents, and visual/video assets 

  • Producing and writing high-quality and engaging stories for broad internal audiences 

  • Organising and supporting key internal events within GSK 

  • Using analytics and tools to advise and inform social media engagement/content plans, and understand the performance of communications tactics executed 

  • Managing event calendar for internal events 

  • Writing clear, business-focused briefing notes or reports on GSK’s policy landscape for a senior leader audience 

  • Monitoring the external environment for insights and news that is relevant for the business 

  • Analysing employee engagement data and data analytics to create response plans 

  • Supporting in advocacy planning for priority products 

  • Engaging with stakeholders within GSK 

 

What will you learn? 

  • Learn about stakeholder management and project management 

  • Understand how internal/external communications and government affairs support businesses 

  • Learn about the different businesses and regions in GSK, and how they all come together 

  • Own your work. Develop and execute end-to-end communication plans  

 

What are we looking for?  

  • Has strong communication skills, preferably with an educational background in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Political Science or related fields. Will consider those with a different formal education background but with strong interest and passion for communications/government affairs 

  • Has excellent command of written and verbal English. Able to write clearly with an audience-centric mindset. 

  • Is able to use basic programmes (e.g. PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premier Pro or Windows Movie Maker) to create communications assets (e.g. videos) 

  • Is able to cleanse and analyse data and provide actionable insights 

  • Has critical thinking, is creative and resourceful in problem solving 

  • Looks to the external world for constant inspiration and is able to “bring the outside world in” to GSK 

  • Is a team player who can work with other communicators across the GSK business and stakeholders who are embedded in the business 

  • Is able to do deep research on policy landscape 

  • Has a passion in helping drive GSK’s ambition to deliver for patients
