Role Overview
The International Senior Director, Strategy & Growth is a high-impact position. Reporting directly to the VP, International Sales, this role is tasked with accelerating Silvus’ international expansion. You will combine the analytical rigor of top-tier management consulting with the operational execution required to scale a high-growth technology organization.
The successful candidate will unify regional Business Development and Strategy teams under a singular global vision.
Key Responsibilities
1. Growth Execution
Develop and execute the "International Expansion Roadmap," identifying high-priority markets
2. Product Strategy & Roadmap Influence
Market-to-Engineering Loop: Act as the voice of the international customer. Systematically gather operational requirements (e.g., from battlefield deployments) and translate them into actionable inputs for the product/engineering teams.
Roadmap Prioritization: Influence the development of our "Firsts" (e.g., MAN-SA, MAN-IQ-DF) by ensuring the roadmap reflects the most lucrative international demand signals.
Portfolio Expansion: Conduct "outside-in" analysis to identify growth opportunities in the broader defense domain that exist outside of our current product portfolio, evaluating potential buy/build/partner strategies.
3. Organizational Leadership
Provide unified leadership to the regional Strategy and Business Development Directors. Foster a culture of technical agility and "startup-like" execution while integrating with the structured environment of a global corporation.
Standardize the global sales and strategy process to ensure our unique waveform advantages are messaged and sold with consistent impact across all regions.
4. Strategic Consulting & Analysis
Develop and apply a framework to all international operations: diagnose market friction, build quantitative growth models, and pressure-test expansion hypotheses before capital deployment.
Serve as the primary lead for cross-functional initiatives between Silvus and Motorola Solutions, ensuring that our "special sauce" (technical agility) is not diluted by the scale of the parent company.
Candidate Requirements
Professional background: Significant experience in top-tier management consulting or equivalent strategic planning experience within a global, high-growth tech environment.
Strategic Agility: Demonstrated ability to bridge the gap between abstract market strategy and concrete technical roadmap development.
Operational DNA: the ability to identify growth vectors others miss, backed by the persistence to drive those opportunities through a matrixed organization.
Success Metrics (First 12 Months)
Successful implementation of the "Regional Strategy Alignment" framework across all three major global theaters.
Formal delivery of three major "Strategic Growth Initiatives" (new products or market segments) to the executive team.
Measurable improvement in the translation of market intelligence into product roadmap features (measured by adoption rates of new technical features in international markets).
