Internal Security Engineer

What you'll actually do

• Issue and manage employee access credentials, including cards, biometrics, and mobile access.
• Update and maintain the employee database, ensuring accuracy in photos, access levels, and different data.
• Facilitate employee onboarding by issuing access credentials and providing guidance on security procedures.
• Perform minor technical repairs, such as replacing CCTV cameras, fixing door locks, and basic configuring security equipment.
• Regularly inspect and ensure the proper functioning of security systems, including CCTV, access control, Intrusion detection, fire alarms, and intercom systems.
• Perform routine security inspections across company sites, checking and resolving issues.
• Monitor internal security systems alarms, resolving them or escalating issues when necessary.
• Design and develop the architecture of security systems, including CCTV, intrusion alarm systems, and fire alarm systems, in compliance with corporate standards and local regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in security systems design tools. Prepare technical requirements, design and working documentation (drawings, diagrams, equipment specifications).
• Select technical solutions and equipment with consideration for risk assessment, scalability, reliability, and integration with existing systems.
• Collaborate with contractors and vendors during the design, implementation, and modernization phases of security systems.
• Participate in system commissioning and acceptance, including technical reviews and functional testing.

Who we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 5+ years of previous experience in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of security systems, including IDS, CCTV, access control, fire alarms, and intercoms.
• Technical aptitude for basic security equipment repairs and troubleshooting.
• Competency in computer applications for managing databases and security records.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in English.
