Job Description
BJC HealthCare and Saint Luke’s Health System are hiring a Clinical Pharmacist (Internal Medicine) to join our integrated team.
Position Overview
- Schedule: Primary shift is Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.
- Flexibility Required: Occasional evening shifts (12:00 PM – 8:00 PM or 12:30 PM – 8:30 PM) and 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM).
- Weekends: Rotating coverage across all staff members.
Core Responsibilities
- Clinical Management: Design and monitor patient-specific therapeutic regimens to ensure optimal, cost-effective outcomes.
- Verification: Interpret and verify medication orders for accuracy and clinical appropriateness.
- Consultation: Provide PK/PD consultations and expert drug information to the healthcare team, patients, and families.
- Collaboration: Partner with prescribers on medication adjustments and document interventions in the EMR.
- Safety & Quality: Manage ADR reporting and medication errors while maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Leadership: Supervise support staff and lead departmental projects.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (required).
- Licensure: Active Pharmacist licenses in both Kansas and Missouri.
- Certifications:
- Missouri Medication Therapy Services (MTS) Certification.
- American Heart Association or Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS)
