About the Role
We’re looking for a highly skilled Production Design Lead to join our in-house creative agency. This is a pivotal role responsible for executing and maintaining high-quality visual designs across a wide range of digital and print deliverables. You’ll lead a team of production designers, working closely with creatives, marketers, and developers to ensure design consistency, brand alignment, and pixel-perfect execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the production design function within the in-house agency
- Own the execution and adaptation of creative concepts across digital and print formats including email and marketing collateral
- Maintain and evolve component libraries, templates, and design systems within Figma
- Ensure quality control, consistency, and brand integrity across all touchpoints
- Collaborate with designers, copywriters, developers, and project managers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of assets
- Optimize and scale workflows for high-volume asset production
- Train and mentor junior production design artists
- Implement best practices for file organization, version control, and handoff to development
- Contribute to process improvement and tooling decisions
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in graphic or production design, preferably in an in-house agency or fast-paced creative team
- 5+ years in a leadership or senior production design role
- Advanced English skills is required, all process will be 100% in English
- Expert-level proficiency in Figma, including experience with components, auto layout, libraries, and collaborative design workflows
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Strong portfolio demonstrating meticulous attention to detail, consistency, and visual polish across digital formats
- Proficient in implementation of ADA accessibility standards, particularly for email design.
- Excellent understanding of layout, typography, color, and visual hierarchy.
- Comprehensive understanding of templates, printing specs and press ready file prep
- Comfortable working across digital and print formats.
- Experience working with design systems and component libraries.
- Strong communication, project management, and organizational skills.
- Able to balance speed with precision and adapt to evolving priorities.
- A comprehensive online portfolio showcasing your strongest work, including examples relevant to email and direct mail
Education:
- Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred
