Ingredion is seeking a creative and motivated Internal Communications & Employee Engagement Intern to support impactful internal communications and employee engagement initiatives that strengthen our culture and keep employees connected and informed.
As an Internal Communications & Employee Engagement Intern, you will support the Human Resources team by designing, coordinating, and managing internal communication initiatives and employee engagement activities that foster transparency, connection, and a positive workplace experience.
This role reports to the Senior Specialist, Human Resources.
What will you do:
- Support the development, planning, and execution of internal communications that promote employee engagement and a transparent culture.
- Assist with administrative support for the Human Resources team, contributing to daily operations and ongoing projects.
- Maintain and update HR documentation, including local policies, procedures, internal regulations, and employee records.
- Help coordinate and organize employee engagement initiatives, events, and internal activities.
- Support the definition and use of communication channels, media, and design tools for internal projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure consistent and engaging communication messaging.
What you will bring:
- Active student or recent graduate of a Bachelor’s or Associate degree.
- Educational background in Business, Psychology, Human Resources, or a creative field such as Communications or Advertising.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal).
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Forms, SharePoint, MS Teams, Outlook, MS Stream).
- Experience or familiarity with design tools such as Canva and Photoshop.
- Strong time management skills and a sense of urgency, with the ability to turn ideas into action.
