Communications Manager – Corporate Affairs

Role Overview:
The Communications Manager will support the Corporate Affairs strategy by designing and implementing internal communication initiatives and campaigns that shape employee behaviour in alignment with Leadership objectives. The role requires strong planning, writing and stakeholder engagement skills, along with practical experience across digital and internal communication channels and a proven track record of working with Exco members.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Communication
- Develop and deliver high quality corporate communication strategies
- Ensure all communication aligns with business goals, leadership priorities and organisational culture
- Identify the best channels, messaging and tools to support adoption
Content Development & Channel Management
- Write, edit and publish compelling content across platforms, including SharePoint, WordPress and Microsoft Suite
- Plan communication calendars and ensure consistent, integrated messaging
- Monitor communication channels, analyse engagement and optimise performance
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with senior leaders and business stakeholders
- Facilitate leadership engagements with employees to support strategic alignment and collaboration
- Conduct impact assessments and stakeholder analyses to inform communication plans
Operational & Project Delivery
- Prioritise projects and resources to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met
- Deliver timely communication updates and business critical messaging
- Ability to work on cross functional internal comms campaigns with multiple stakeholders
- Produce reports, insights and recommendations to improve communication effectiveness
- Support project planning, performance reviews, and compliance processes as required
What You Will Need:
- Min 10 years’ experience in Corporate Communication, Internal Communication or a similar field, including direct experience working with senior internal clients
- A degree in Communications, Corporate Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, or Public Relations
- Strong writing, editing, planning, and digital communication skills
- Advanced proficiency in SharePoint, WordPress, Microsoft 365 tools, and other internal communication platforms
- Proven ability to implement strategy with executable communications plans that drive action
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills and sound decision-making ability
- Proven experience in stakeholder management and influencing communication strategy at senior levels, including C-Suite executives
