You’ll help build a new Operational Audit function from the ground up that will provide both assurance and advisory across Zillow - blending process depth with technology fluency to help teams move faster, safer, and smarter. This is an opportunity to shape the audit roadmap and partner with leaders to turn insights into measurable improvements that advance our strategy and strengthen resilience. You’ll bring clarity, momentum, and pragmatic solutions to high-impact, cross-functional work.
You will get to
Help stand up and scale a new operational audit program: define scope, methodology, and rhythms that integrate assurance and advisory for high-risk, high-impact areas.
Lead and support end-to-end audits from risk assessment through reporting and follow-up, driving clear action plans and validating remediation.
Blend technology and operations: assess controls across technical and business processes to surface root causes and sustainable solutions.
Run crisp stakeholder engagement: set expectations, socialize observations, and present findings to senior leaders with clear options, tradeoffs, and decisions.
Experienced auditor with a strong blend of operational and technology expertise; you’ve led audits that span business processes and IT, and you translate technical detail into business impact.
Demonstrated ability to design and execute end-to-end audits (risk assessment, scoping, walkthroughs, testing, reporting, remediation validation) and to stand up new programs or capabilities.
Skilled communicator and facilitator - able to “say it clearly,” earn trust with stakeholders, and drive alignment on right-sized, time-bound action plans.
Strong judgment and results driven; you focus on material risks, propose practical solutions, and can operate in ambiguity while maintaining independence.
6+ years of Internal Audit experience. Certifications such as CISA, CIA, CISSP, or CPA are a plus.
