Summary
This role involves assisting with compliance for California’s Climate Disclosures and gaining exposure to how sustainability connects with business strategy and reporting. No prior corporate sustainability experience is required - just confidence with Excel, strong analytical skills, and a willingness to learn about emissions accounting, regulatory compliance, and broader sustainability practices. This internship is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in corporate sustainability while contributing to the decarbonization of a hard-to-abate sector.

Minimum Requirements
Combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. Must pass a Criminal Background Check.
Education: High School Diploma/GED
Education Details: Bachelor's or Master's degree. Applicants should be recent graduates (within the last six months) or currently enrolled in a college or university, with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
•Microsoft Excel (or significant computer programming) proficiency.
•Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
•Excellent quantitative and problem-solving skills.
•Curiosity and willingness to learn about corporate sustainability and environmental reporting.
Preferred Requirements
•Microsoft PowerPoint proficiency.
•Interest in aviation sustainability, or hard-to-abate sectors.
•Exposure to sustainability ratings or sector-level performance analysis.
•Knowledge of emissions accounting methodologies, such as the GHG Protocol, and regulatory requirements such as California’s climate disclosure laws.
•Understanding of greenhouse gas emissions scopes (Scope 1, 2, and 3).
•Experience with data visualization or reporting tools.
•Interest/experience in sustainability, business, economics and/or finance advantageous.
Job Duties
•Support Allegiant’s environmental compliance by preparing for audits, including researching and documenting audit trails.
•Perform repetitive but essential tasks of data collection, validation, and uploading for emissions reporting.
•Assist in future-proofing data collection and emissions accounting procedures to ensure readiness for California’s 2027 climate disclosure reporting requirements.
•Assist with compiling and integrating sustainability data into Allegiant’s annual sustainability report, including analyzing what the data means for progress toward the company’s 2030 decarbonization target.
•Conduct research on various sustainability rankings and frameworks, analyzing best practices and identifying opportunities for year-over-year improvement.
•Apply research insights and critical thinking to assess Allegiant’s sustainability performance relative to peers and broader sector trends.
•Contribute to cross-functional projects that support strategic sustainability initiatives, reporting, and investor communications.
•Other duties as assigned.

Office - While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, key board, printer, and phone. May be required to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 20 lbs. May be required to work various shifts/days in a 24-hour situation. Regular attendance is a requirement of the role. Exposure to moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones, printers, and foot traffic), temperature and light fluctuations. Ability to work in a confined area as well as the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time. Some travel may be a requirement of the role.
