Intern, Software Testing

Duration: 6 months

Position summary:

As an Embedded Systems Intern, you’ll get hands-on with cutting-edge energy systems, Internet of Things (IoT) and diagnostics across marine, rail, or power generation projects. You’ll collaborate with diverse teams, design test cases, build automation scripts, and work with industry communication protocols like CAN, LIN, Ethernet, and XCP . This internship is a chance to gain real-world experience, explore embedded systems in action, and contribute to innovative projects that make a tangible impact.
 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Work in energy systems, controls, software in loop (SIL), hardware in loop (HIL), and diagnostics domain.
  •  Collaboration with colleagues from power generation, power electronics, engine management and testing. The work areas could encompass marine, rail or power generation (Battery Energy storage system).
  • You will be utilizing the skills in Simulation Tool chain, developing knowledge using communication protocols - CAN, LIN, Ethernet, XCP.
  • Involved in design of test cases including implementation of test scripts for test automation, and methodology for embedded devices and systems. This will include development of test bench setup for ECU diagnostics testing.
  • Market research for best practices followed in industry for the assignments/projects executed in RRPS
  • Extrapolate and perform trend analysis to analyze future growth opportunities, Process excellence ideas for current work practices

Who we’re looking for: 

  • Proficient with basic concepts of Electronic Engineering / Software Engineering
  • Relevant thesis/project in Embedded / Electronics / Software.
  • Some understanding of Diesel Engine and power products Ideal.
  • Analytical thinking and good in problem solving
  • Excellent research and writing skills strong communication abilities Self-motivated and should have proactive working.
