Position Summary:
Sony Corporation of America (SCA) is seeking a motivated Intern, Security Policy to support the Corporate Information Security Department (CISD). This role provides hands-on experience in Information security policy management, information security risk management, GRC processes, data cleaning, and cross functional collaboration.
The CISD summer internship program is designed to provide skills, knowledge, and hands-on work experience in the information security and privacy industry, supporting the personal growth of our interns as well as Sony business results.
This 12‑week summer internship runs from June through August and offers a hybrid work option.
Responsibilities:
Assist with documenting and maintaining information security policies and procedures
Research on best practices on security policy operational support across the industry
Leverage AI in operationalizing security policy management
Create, clean, organize & maintain policy SharePoint portal
Assist with information security risk assessments for systems, applications, projects, and thirdparty vendors
Prepare and maintain policy documentation, reports, and clean, accurate GRC data
Collaborate with internal GISPA teams & business teams to track policy implementations, requirements & provide support as necessary
Support the global GRC platform, including data entry, intake tracking, and data quality management
Help identify process, control, or data gaps and support improvement initiatives

Qualifications:
Current student pursuing a bachelors or master's degree in business, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related field
Interest in information security, risk management, or GRC
Strong analytical, documentation, and data handling skills
Comfortable working with spreadsheets and reports; proficiency in Microsoft Office
Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
All candidates must be authorized to work in the USA.
The hourly rate for this internship depends on education level: $24.00 per hour for undergraduate candidates and $25.00–$27.00 per hour for graduate candidates. The individual will be paid hourly and eligible for overtime.
