Main items to be addressed during the internship:
  • Product Evaluation (focusing on cost-competitive product lines 
  • Current Manufacturing Footprint Review (including the Bridgewater and Taunton facilities)
  • Geographical Market Analysis (with a focus on high-growth regions like South America, the Middle East, and China, and accounting for the US and Saudi land/shallow wells)
  • Current Competitive Trends (addressing market consolidation and key competitors)
  • Choosing Manufacturing location (China vs South America vs Middle East)  
  • Prysmian Proposed Strategy
    • Option 1: Rapid Optimization (6-9 months): A fast-track approach with a small, focused scope, characterized by low risk and leading to immediate, foundational rewards.
    • Option  2: Targeted Expansion (12-18 months): A medium-speed strategy requiring a larger, more complex investment to achieve significant rewards, focusing on specific high-potential regions.
    • Option 3: Total Footprint Re-alignment (2-3 years): The comprehensive, 100% strategy that demands the largest investment and a two-year implementation timeline, designed for full market capture and maximum return.


 
  • You will work with the local team in Houston, the team in Bridgewater (NJ) and the team in China 
  • You will also work with our Chinese Agent based in Houston
  • You will probably spend at least one week at our facility in NJ to understand the product manufacturing
