Key responsibilities for this role include:
The Program Management Office Intern will support the Global Program Leadership, Portfolio and Program Management Organization (GLPPM) in managing programs that are part of Viatris’ Research and Development (R&D) drug development portfolio.
The intern will be involved in key aspects of program and portfolio management including exposure to how drug development programs are planned, executed, tracked, and managed across key functional areas and global regions.
The intern will be directly involved in three key areas for the GLPPM department:
Planning and implementation of modernization strategic program management tool
Supporting a Global Program Team (GPT) and its Program Leader to execute a complex generics product development program
Participating in the portfolio management of a wide variety of products in specific markets.
The intern will be expected to track timelines, milestones, keep track of key deliverables, support preparation of meeting materials, and support development of tools to improve strategic program management processes.
The intern will prepare program status update reports, coordinating input from cross functional technical teams
The intern will gain mentorship from experienced Program Leaders and Program and Portfolio Managers and will have the ability to interact with experienced GPT members across a variety of functions.
The minimum qualifications for this role are:
The successful candidate will have preferably completed a minimum of their Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, pharmacy, biomedical sciences, engineering, business, or a related field and be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university in a PhD, MS, or MBA degree program (i.e., or a related field of study). A minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred; however, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
Interested in pharmaceutical drug development and R&D portfolio and program management.
Strong organizational and communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with Microsoft 365.
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
The salary range for this position is: If Pursing Bachelors = $20 hour, If Pursing Masters = $25 hour, If Pursing Doctorate = $30 hour.
