Job Summary: The intern will be working closely with the Project Manager to understand the logistics aspect of project management in Valeo's production lines. He/She will gain practical experience by assisting the Project Manager in coordinating and managing the end-to-end supply chain process for specific projects. This includes tracking shipments, maintaining inventory levels, preparing reports, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of components and products. Through this internship, the student will gain exposure to real-world project management practices within the automotive industry while contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of Valeo's operations.
Responsibilities:
• Assist the Project Manager in monitoring and controlling the progress of shipments from suppliers to Valeo's facilities.
• Maintain accurate records of shipment schedules, deliveries, and receipts.
• Track inventory levels and identify discrepancies or shortages.
• Prepare regular reports on shipping and receiving activities for review by the Project Manager.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues related to transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
• Provide support during product launches by ensuring timely delivery of components and products.
Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled in a degree program in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of automotive industry practices and standards would be advantageous.
