The Role
Are you passionate about antibody research and excited to explore how antibody structure affects immune function? Join us in the Antibody Research & Technologies (ART) department at Genmab in Utrecht!
In this internship, you will work closely with Research Associates on one of the ongoing projects within the ART department to support antibody knowledge generation. Specifically, your project will develop tools and assays to measure complement activation.
Responsibilities
Support the Format Discovery team in exploring a specific research question related to antibody structure and function.
Learn and apply a variety of laboratory techniques, including:
Cell culture and protein preparation;
Flow cytometry-based assays to measure antibody binding;
Flow cytometry and microscopy-based functional assays to measure CDC or phagocytosis.
Accurately record experimental results and data in the appropriate systems.
Contribute to maintaining a collaborative and high-quality lab environment.
Requirements
Currently enrolled in an HBO or Master’s program at a Dutch university or applied sciences institution.
Available for 7–10 months.
You have completed at least one prior internship (this is not your first internship experience).
Theoretical and practical knowledge of (human) cell culture and flow cytometry.
Preferably prior experience with fluorescent microscopy.
Enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to learn in a dynamic R&D environment.
Strong (English) communication skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.

Work arrangement: Full-time, on-site internship position.
