Project Overview

The intern will support the scale-up of the "Take Charge Against TB" dual activation programme, which addresses TB healthcare-seeking inequities in urban poor communities across Delhi, Pune, and Hyderabad. The initiative focuses on upskilling frontline healthcare workers (FLHCWs), activating vulnerable populations, and mobilizing corporate philanthropic resources to strengthen public health delivery at the community level.

This role is designed for candidates who wish to gain substantive experience in public health programme implementation while supporting cross-sector engagement with India's corporate and CSR ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Corporate Engagement Support

  • Assist in identifying, mapping, and profiling prospective corporate partners with relevant CSR mandates aligned to TB elimination and urban community health
  • Support the development and refinement of modular philanthropic grant packages and funding proposals for corporate outreach
  • Contribute to the design and production of corporate-facing communication materials — including presentations, concept notes, digital content, and print collateral — to articulate programme impact and partnership value

2. Public Health Programme Support

  • Coordinate with field teams and the PATH programme team to facilitate smooth implementation of community-level activities under the "Take Charge Against TB" initiative
  • Support the Technical Support Unit (TSU) in conducting needs assessments, geography selection, and operational planning for programme scale-up
  • Assist in coordinating training logistics for FLHCWs and community volunteers, ensuring timely and well-documented delivery of capacity-building interventions

3. Monitoring, Evaluation & Documentation

  • Participate in the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) framework, supporting data collection, compilation, and analysis to track programme progress and outcomes
  • Contribute to the preparation of periodic progress reports, donor briefs, and scientific publication drafts
  • Assist in the documentation of programme milestones including field reports, video content, and case studies for internal and external dissemination

4. Stakeholder Coordination & Events

  • Liaise between corporate partners, field teams, government stakeholders, and the TSU to ensure alignment of activities with programme objectives
  • Support the organization of dissemination events, review meetings, and partner convenings
  • Maintain structured documentation and audit-ready records for all stakeholder interactions and programme activities

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of this internship, the intern will have:

  • A grounded understanding of TB elimination strategies and health systems strengthening in urban poor settings
  • Hands-on experience in the design and implementation of large-scale public health interventions
  • Practical exposure to CSR and corporate philanthropy frameworks in the Indian public health context
  • Applied skills in grant proposal writing, stakeholder engagement, and cross-sector collaboration
  • Strengthened competencies in data analysis, MEL reporting, and health communication and advocacy

Preferred Qualifications

  • Final year or recently completed degree in Public Health, Social Work, Development Studies, Engineering, or a related field
  • Demonstrated interest in TB elimination, urban health equity, and community-based public health programmes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to synthesize information for diverse audiences
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools (PowerPoint, Word, Excel); familiarity with digital health promotion platforms is an advantage
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a multicultural, mission-driven environment
  • Prior experience in programme coordination, research, or NGO/government settings is desirable
