What you will do

The PGIM Public and Private Fixed Income Student Internship Programme is a 9 month placement running from August/September 2026. You will work in a collegial and supportive environment that promotes and rewards individual contributions, while placing equal importance on the results of the larger team. You will be encouraged to share your insights, skills, and diverse perspective with a talented team that works toward common goals. We place high priority on maintaining an environment that develops, motivates, rewards, and retains employees. While on placement you will have the opportunity to rotate between different areas providing you with a comprehensive understanding of investment management.

As part of a top global investment manager, you will have the opportunity to gain a fundamental understanding of investment and asset management. Based in Letterkenny, you will work with colleagues across the globe who will help you hone the skills required for your future successful career in finance.

What you can expect

  • Exposure to a global investment management firm and mentorship from experienced professionals in the field.
  • Assisting with daily fund operations including responsibility for transaction processing, position reconciliation and cash management.
  • Supporting the team in preparing financial reports and reconciliations, ensuring high standards of accuracy and timeliness are met.
  • Helping to maintain records of fund activities, loan servicing and investor transactions.
  • Collaboration with external service providers such as fund administrators, banking partners and auditors.

What you will bring

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business or related course in second to last year of studies.
  • Successful candidates will have an inquisitive nature and a desire to deliver quality work.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with financial systems is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and absorb information across a broad spectrum of products.
  • High-energy, positivity, geniality and optimism to a collaborative environment

What we offer you
