Intermediate Tax Accountant

Intermediate Tax Accountant prepares and process state and local sales and

use tax returns for various business units of the company.

Responsibilities:

• Basic accounting functions and heavy tax calculations
• Provide support for tax audits
• Focus on account reconciliation
• Provide support for personal property renditions and tax returns
• Extensive research
• Heavily involved in the new Oracle process for fixed assets, including calculating, reporting and remitting use tax due for all business units including responsibility for maintaining sales tax support line.
• Provide heavy support via email
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field-Accounting, Finance, or equivalent. Previous tax experience preferred. 
• Strong Excel skills, problem solving, and organizational skills
• Detail oriented, able to prioritize, self-motivated, dependable, and able to handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision. Must work well under pressure and be able to meet stringent deadlines
• Possess the ability to effectively communicate with various levels of contacts
