The Opportunity

The position of Interface Supervisor is within our Informatics business located in Charlottesville, VA, or can be remote. This role is responsible for supervising a team of interface analysts who implement and maintain interfaces between the RALS data management system and the hospital LIS systems.

What You’ll Work On

  • Provide day‑to‑day leadership, direction, and mentorship to the Interface Analyst team, ensuring high‑quality project delivery, balanced workload distribution, and consistent professional development.
  • Ensure adherence to interface development standards and best practices, including proper implementation and maintenance of HL7 messaging protocols.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for interface‑related project issues, delivering guidance and support to Interface Analysts and customers to ensure effective resolution.
  • Oversee and manage the execution of internal script reviews, ensuring thorough evaluation, consistent quality assurance, and complete documentation for all analyst‑developed interfaces.
  • Partner cross‑functionally with other RALS Supervisors to assign, prioritize, and coordinate interface projects, ensuring alignment with customer timelines and internal business objectives.
  • Drive timely completion of all interface development projects, proactively identifying risks, removing obstacles, and ensuring teams meet or exceed committed schedules.
  • Monitor, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring team performance meets or exceeds organizational expectations and identifying opportunities for improvement where needed.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve team processes to enhance efficiency, contributing to the development and refinement of standardized workflows, documentation templates, training materials, and quality assurance practices.
  • Maintain team compliance with organizational requirements, including accurate weekly time tracking and adherence to operational, security, and quality standards.
  • Support departmental and organizational initiatives by contributing subject‑matter expertise, operational leadership, and cross‑functional collaboration as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Associates Degree, Bachelors Degree preferred
  • 2+ years of leadership experience and/or a proven track record of displaying leadership skills
  • Proficient in JavaScript and strong understanding of coding concepts
  • Strong understanding and 3-5 years’ experience working with LIS/HIS systems such as Meditech, Cerner, Epic, etc.
  • Strong understanding of RALS data management system
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM tools

Preferred Qualifications

  • Database management experience (SQL)
  • Proficient in Mirth interface engine
  • Customer service/technical service experience
  • Project management experience

    The base pay for this position is

    $78,000.00 – $156,000.00

    In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
