Major Duties:

  • You will utilize basic knowledge of Beyond Line of Sight (BLOS) Radios, SATCOM Systems, Modems, Antennas/Apertures, Data Links, Analog/Digital Communication principals and practice.
  • You will utilize the components that comprise digital and analog communication system such as radios, amplifiers, transmission lines, antennas and filters.
  • You will read and understand system specification, industry standards and apply them to system design, development and test.
  • You will conduct RF system Analysis (SATCOM RF Link Budgets, Co-Site analysis).
  • You will review and prepare engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation.

Qualifications: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Knowledge of Basic Electrical and Electronic Engineering principles; 2. Basic RF and Microwave knowledge and application; 3. Demonstrated skill in Networking Architecture and Network Transport principles; 4. Ability to read and understand system specification, industry standards and apply them to system design, development and test; 5. Ability to Apply engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate military SATCOM communications systems; 6.Conducting RF system Analysis (SATCOM RF Link Budgets, Co-Site analysis) 7.
