Major Duties:

  • You will be assessing new technologies as it pertains electrical hardware that performs verification testing of flight hardware. Experience in electrical hardware and software testing is highly desirable.
  • You will evaluate trade studies and recommend solutions based on a variety of factors to include risk, opportunities, technical, cost, and schedule.
  • You will be the primary point of contact on behalf of the organization for a major development program. Effective communication with peers and senior management is very important in this position.
  • You will develop networks, build alliances, and collaborate across boundaries to build strategic relationships and achieve common goals.
  • You will be part of an integrated product team (IPT) consisting of government and contractor representatives and ensure a cohesive work environment.
  • You will be part of a fast paced and changing development program.
  • You will require an in depth understanding of systems engineering “V” and how it applies to full lifecycle development efforts is highly desirable.
  • You will require the ability to be flexible and adaptable is very important in this position.

Qualifications: In addition to the basic education requirement, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or NH-2 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional Engineer managing engineering projects to evaluate test system designs and develop written plans to assess the testing of weapon systems.
