Job Summary: You will serve as an Intelligence Specialist at the GG-09 level working in an entry/developmental capacity within the GEOINT End-to-End Capabilities and Concepts Office performing assignments and completing on-the-job and formal training related to OPIR systems and capabilities issues. Assignments are designed to introduce the incumbent to a variety of responsibilities leading to the next career progression grade level. This position is located in Dayton, OH in the OFFICE OF NAVAL INTELLIGENCE.

Major Duties:

  • You will learn and utilize a basic knowledge of intelligence collection areas (SIGINT, HUMINT, OSINT, IMINT) of programs/subject areas in analytic area of responsibility.
  • You will participate with higher grade analysts in researching for specific intelligence information in preparation of routine studies or portions of complex studies for various types of customers.
  • You will select relevant data from classified and unclassified library sources, foreign equipment, documents, photography, raw data (both digital and analog), and automated and manual data bases.
  • You will prepare portions of or complete intelligence analyses or assessments in his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • You will identify intelligence gaps, recommend specific collection requirements to fill gaps, and evaluate the intelligence collected in response to those requirements.

Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GG/GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following such as: 1) Extract information from emerging, new, and future Geospatial-Intelligence (GEOINT) phenomenology; 2) Report requirements to the command which include: Weekly Operations Reports, Information Papers, Plan of Action and Milestone, Standard Operating Procedures, Quick Reference Guides and project integration documentation; 3) Communicate preliminary Geospatial-Intelligence (GEOINT) system capabilities and provide support to team analysts focusing on various global or regional issues; AND 4) Assist with preparation of intelligence analyses or assessments for the command.
