We are seeking a talented individual to join our Placement team at Marsh. This role will be based in Madrid (Paseo de la Castellana). This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Reporting to the Placement Leader, this role aims to develop and execute various initiatives to implement the Placement strategy defined for Marsh.

The chosen person will be responsible for negotiating with national and international insurance markets for insurance programs for clients and prospects, ensuring the best solutions that meet the specific needs of each client.

The Placement Specialist will work closely with the entire Marsh McLennan Group structure (particularly with the Client Management and Sales teams) to create the best value proposition for their clients.

We will count on you to:

  • Define and implement a market strategy for each placement.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of existing insurance programs, identifying improvement opportunities and recommendations for optimization.
  • Negotiate the best solutions in terms of pricing, coverage, and limits with insurance markets.
  • Develop close and trust-based relationships with insurance markets.
  • Implement various initiatives that are part of the Placement strategic plan.
  • Support and liaise with other internal teams by finding the best solutions for client needs, provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Stay updated on market trends and best practices and share knowledge, information, and insights with the other teams/departments.

What you need to have:

  • Proven experience of 3 to 5 years in the Insurance sector (Broker/Insurer), with a focus on the Employee Benefits area.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Strong knowledge of the insurance market, particularly in social benefits policies, including Health, Life, and Personal Accident Insurance.
  • Fluent English level (minimum C1); knowledge of Spanish is considered a plus.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving attitude.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and communicate it in a clear way.
  • Team-player, being able to collaborate with colleagues from different areas and hierarchical levels.
