The Opportunity!
As an Insurance Associate, you’ll play an essential role in helping clients protect what matters most—whether that’s their home, vehicle, travels, or business. You will deliver exceptional client experience by providing clear advice, accurate policy processing, and reliable support through every stage of the insurance process. This is a great opportunity for candidates who enjoy client interaction, problem-solving, and working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
A day in the life -
Engage with clients to understand their needs and provide recommendations on appropriate coverage across Personal or Commercial insurance lines.
Support account servicing through accurate processing of documentation such as renewals, endorsements, invoices, quotes, and certificates.
Follow up on leads, referrals, and renewal requirements to support sales and retention goals.
Review policy documents for accuracy and ensure timely issuance to clients.
Respond to client inquiries, provide coverage explanations, and help troubleshoot policy-related issues.
Collaborate with Advisors, Producers, and Marketers to support client accounts and ensure a smooth servicing experience.
Maintain up-to-date product knowledge through ongoing learning and development opportunities.
What you will bring to the team -
Minimum 1 year of insurance industry experience (Personal Lines or Commercial Lines).
Level 1 General Insurance License (required).
Level 2 General Insurance License is considered an asset.
Strong customer service skills with a proactive, client-first mindset.
Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through.
Clear communication skills, both written and verbal.
Comfort with sales-oriented activities such as upselling, presenting coverage options, or supporting renewal discussions.
Proficiency with standard office tools (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).
Industry designations (CIP, CAIB, CRM, etc.) are an asset.
Salary Expectations
The expected salary range for this position is $48,000 to $65,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope, and level. HUB International is proud to offer comprehensive benefit and total compensation packages which could include extended health benefits, disability insurance, RRSP matching, paid-time-off benefits, and eligible bonuses, and commissions for some positions.
