KBR is looking for Instrument Technician III
To be responsible for ensuring Instrument assets are reliable and available in order to keep Process Units in operation.
To Lead, supervise and coordinate activities of maintenance technician’s team and focuses in compliance with the preventive maintenance plan and an efficient and effective development of breakdown maintenance on Instrument systems, equipment and facilities within his area of influence, applying the best and safe maintenance practices.
Coordinate with SATORP area supervisor the execution of monthly and weekly maintenance plan. Control. Submit progress reports to the respective Area Maintenance supervisor on a regular basis.
Provide onsite maintenance and repairs on all types of Instruments (such as generators, transformers and motors). Ensure that maintenance activities are carried out in accordance to SATORP’s standards, specifications, safety procedures, manufacturer’s recommendation and contract terms.
Responsibilities:
- To lead, supervise and coordinate the day to-day activities of Instrument maintenance activities develop by technician on all Instrument systems plant, equipment and facilities within the designated area of responsibility. He is the Focal point for daily Instrument maintenance execution plan
- Ensure that technician complies and applied SATORP's Safety and Quality procedures, during the execution of Instrument maintenance activities.
- Conduct frequent site visits to ensure proper execution of work and check on the activity’s technicians engaged in routine maintenance activities.
- Lead and Technicians assigned to his area.
- Receive work directions from the Instrument foreman in relation to Instrument systems maintenance orders/requests and ensure translating these directions into actions.
- Follow-up on Instrument maintenance work progress and submit regular progress reports to the Instrument foreman with recommendations. Keep a record of daily maintenance works against planned maintenance programs and prepare work completion reports, where applicable.
- Work closely with Instrument foreman in recommending and implementing changes aimed at improving the availability and reliability of Instrument/instrument systems within the designated area of responsibility.
- Assist in implementing engineering modifications and enhancements to Instrument equipment by making recommendations to increase the suitability and serviceability of Instrument systems.
- Enforce SATORP’s policies, procedures and regulations and ensure that all safety measures and precautions are strictly considered and taken care of during conducting onsite maintenance works.
- Proactive Safety aptitude and behavior.
- Strong knowledge of maintaining and repairing Instrument systems.
- Good knowledge in Instrument equipment design, installation and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of maintaining and repairing Mechanical and electro hydraulic systems
- Good knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance principles and working procedures.
- Strong knowledge of standards, procedures and regulation to develop activities taking care of Health, Safety and Environmental preservation
- Strong communication and people skills.
- Ability to perform work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Synergic and Capable of handling multiple tasks.
- Good commands oral and written English.
- Ensure that personnel have the skills, training and all needed resources, equipment’s and tools to conduct routine maintenance activities in safe and effectively manner, according to the contract terms and conditions.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Oil & Gas maintenance – High School.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Oil & Gas maintenance – Diploma.
- Hold a valid certification issued by a recognized third-party certification body or an accredited Saudi institute, attesting to the individual’s qualifications and competency to perform the works.
- Strong technical understanding of maintenance management of Oil & Gas Facilities
- Well organized and proactive with excellent communication skills
- Proven leadership skills with large organizations
- Maturity of judgment under pressure and ability to resolve problems
- Strategic management skills
- An ability to achieve business results working in a multi-cultural environment
- Flexibility to travel internationally and live in KSA
