The Instructor or Assistant Professor of Agriculture is responsible for the development and instruction of course materials in the field of agriculture, both on campus and online, and is capable of teaching freshman and sophomore college-level courses. The position requires outreach and travel to surrounding agricultural sites and businesses to grow the University's agriculture program.
60% Instruct college level agriculture courses.
15% Office hours and advising
10% Committee Work/University Service
10% Outreach and travel to surrounding agricultural sites and business to build a connection between LSUE's agriculture students and the agriculture industry, growing LSUE's agriculture program.
5% Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's in agriculture or related field.
or Master's degree in unrelated field plus 18 credit hours in related agriculture field form a regionally accredited institution.
Experience: Agriculture background
Preferred Qualifications:
Ph.D. in agriculture or related field
3 years College level instruction in agriculture.
Agriculture background.
