MD, PhD, MD/PhD or equivalent required.
Successful completion of a pediatric residency program.
Focused training in Cardiology.
Arkansas medical licensure.
Board-eligible or board-certified in pediatrics.
Responsibilities:
Provide outpatient and inpatient clinical sessions based on patient needs and the clinical needs of the service.
Review clinical effort and responsibilities annually and adjust them as needed to best meet clinical and academic goals.
Utilize protected administrative time, with the potential for amendment beyond that time based on the needs of the section.
Track administrative time closely with the Section Chief and Department Chair and participate in ongoing review.
Use protected time, when not working clinically or administratively, for scholarly activities prorated to FTE to support dedicated academic productivity.
Evaluate academic time annually and adjust it as needed based on need and demonstrated scholarly work.

This position is a Designated Research Position and is regulated by the Arkansas Research Education Protection Act of 2025.
