Position Summary:
The Department of Mathematics and Statistics in the Charles E. Schmidt College of Science (COS) at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL invites applications for a 9-month non-tenure track faculty position at the Instructor level beginning in the Fall Semester of 2026.
Teaching Responsibilities – Candidates will be expected to teach a load of approximately 12 credit hours per semester, primarily in courses at or below the calculus level. The main areas of teaching are Mathematics and Statistics. The candidate should show clear promise of excellent instructional capacity. They should be able to demonstrate their ability to understand learning differences among students and be able to foster and create educational opportunities where all students can thrive.
Service Responsibilities – Candidates are expected to serve on Departmental, College and University committees, and provide professional service to external entities related to their field of expertise.

Similarly, for degrees from outside the United States, the evaluation by an organization belonging to the National Association of Credential Evaluation (NACES), with an indication of the documents the evaluation was prepared from (official transcripts, diplomas, dissertation abstracts) is required for the Provost’s credential file prior to the first day of employment. Transcripts must be issued to Florida Atlantic University, not to the individual applicant.
