About the role:
The role is part of the central Business Growth Insights Team, which supports the broader Business Growth team with reporting, analytics and performance measurement. The role reports to the Manager, Business Growth.
What will you do?
- Provide administrative support to Business Growth Insights team to ensure smooth operation of Business Growth initiatives.
- Understand and learn about the role of data analytics within the department including how to use Adobe Analytics, Salesforce and Tableau.
- Assist in data entry and maintenance of databases.
- Build surveys in Qualtrics and analyze responses.
- Respond to ad hoc reporting requests from the Business Growth team, and assist in acquiring and analyzing data.
- Assist in project management, such as logging new initiatives and assigning tasks in Wrike.
- Help implement new reporting infrastructure, for example Excel scorecards, Adobe Analytics reports and data exports.
- Create tracking URLs for tactics that are part of marketing plans.
- Provide marketers with actionable recommendations on how to improve their web site performance and marketing campaigns.
- Use Tableau as a data visualization tool.
What do you need to succeed?
- Minimum 2 years of office administration or marketing experience
- High school diploma / college certificate or diploma
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office (specifically Excel and PowerPoint)
- Be comfortable working with large sets of data
- Able to synthesize data into conclusive findings that can be used to optimize campaigns and programs
- Strong attention to detail
- Passionate about developing marketing, consulting and data analysis skills
- Strong communications and relationship building skills
- Willingness to learn about the distribution support model at Sun Life
- Self-driven, resourceful individual with an ability to work independently
- Able to meet deadlines and be responsible for all projects assigned
- Comfortable to network and approach colleagues within the business to gather data and complete projects
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Web/Digital Analytics software an asset (Adobe Analytics)
- Understanding of digital marketing is an asset
- Understanding of SQL is an asset
- Experience using Tableau (as a Creator)

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance.
