Pharmacist PRN - Job Description
As a Pharmacist I in our health system, you will apply essential knowledge, skills, and critical thinking to deliver exceptional pharmaceutical care. This role involves comprehensive medication management, collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, and adherence to all regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Medication Management & Dispensing: Prepare and dispense medications accurately, interpret medication orders for appropriateness, and maintain secure medication distribution systems in accordance with internal policies and regulatory bodies.
- Patient Care & Consultation: Design, recommend, monitor, and evaluate therapeutic regimens. Conduct and document pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic consultations, provide comprehensive medication education to patients and caregivers, and ensure cost-effective care delivery.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work collaboratively with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to clarify medication orders and document changes in the electronic medical record (EMR). Provide timely and concise drug information responses to staff.
- Quality & Compliance: Adhere to all state and federal laws and regulations. Participate actively in the assessment, management, and reporting of adverse drug events (ADEs) and medication errors to improve patient safety and outcomes.
- Leadership & Development: Supervise supportive personnel, manage assigned projects, and attend all required departmental meetings and educational programs.

Applicable Experience:
Less than 1 year
Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross, Licensed Pharmacist - Various
Bachelor's Degree
