About the opportunity.
Our core specialities include, orthopaedics, heart and lung surgery, head and neck surgery, neurosurgery, urology, vascular surgery, upper GI/hepatobiliary surgery, ear, nose and throat surgery, colorectal surgery, gynaecology, neurology, plastic and reconstructive surgery, cancer services and mental health.
As Scrub Scout, you will play a critical role in supporting surgical team, ensuring the highest standard of patient care and sterile technique during procedures. You'll be responsible for preparing instruments, maintaining a sterile field, and providing hands-on support throughout surgical operations.
Things that work for us:
- Prepare operating theatres and Instruments before Surgery.
- Assist the surgeons during the procedures and sterile equipment.
- Monitor patient safety and respond quickly to surgical team needs.
- Collaborate with anaesthetic and recovery teams for smooth patient care.
What We're Looking For from you:
- Current AHPRA registration
- Previous experience in a theatre/Surgical setting
- Have a strong background in one or all of these Areas's, Orthopaedic, Neuro, Cardiac and or Robotic Surgery (Scrub/Scout)
- Strong Understanding of Infection control and Sterile technique
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
