Job Purpose:

Lead New Product innovation and introduction planning and execution processes to support business objectives and ensure efficient product technical transfer at site. Support & assist in compilation of technical documentation like CTD dossiers etc. and perform process troubleshooting to provide technical support to production.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project & Risk Management

  • Provides leadership and establishes key partnerships across multiple functions.
  • Has overall responsibility for project delivery and successful technical transfer into site.
  • Manages assessment of opportunities from business and technical aspects to determine viability for execution, including site impact assessments.
  • Provides resource management/oversight to Project Managers for planning and execution of various project types.
  • Develops project plans, secures resources, monitors adherence, and develops contingency plans for low-complexity projects.
  • Ensures risk mitigation plans are in place and agreed with Site/Regional Quality Councils.
  • Ensures proper escalation and communication of risks at the right organizational level.

2. Technical Transfer & Commercialization

  • Responsible for commercialization of new products from R\&D, line extensions, and geo-expansion product introductions.
  • Coordinates transfer, upscale, registration, and launch activities for Drug Product with related functions.
  • Prepares and compiles technical documents in CTD formats for overseas submission.
  • Liaises with marketing and product managers concerning NPI (New Product Introduction) and Tech Transfer.

3. Quality, Compliance & Process Improvement

  • Ensures products developed meet quality and process capability standards as defined in design specifications.
  • Liaises with Quality Assurance and procurement to check suitability of formulations, materials, and specifications.
  • Provides support in product and process-related investigations, including complaints, OOE, OOS, and deviations to identify root causes.
  • Ensures all activities comply with GMP, HSE, regulatory, and corporate guidelines.
  • Complies with Environment, Health, and Safety policies and guidelines.

4. Resource & Stakeholder Management

  • Establishes and supports project teams, ensuring robust communication with SLT and the wider organization.
  • Provides support and technical guidance to procurement in strategic resourcing of packaging and raw materials.
  • Follows up on costing queries by liaising with Finance for quality assurance and production routings.
  • Any other responsibility assigned as per business requirements.

5. Technical Expertise & Development

  • Prepares experimental, developmental, and confirmational trial batches to check and confirm site feasibility and product stability.
  • Provides fundamental knowledge of the function and properties of excipients, APIs, and packaging materials.

Skills and Competencies:​

  • B-Pharmacy, Chemistry, or equivalent BS Degree in scientific/ Engineering. MSc. Or Pharm-D will be preferred.
  • 5 - 8years experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, comprehensive know how in pharmaceutical technology,  project management and R&D product development
  • In depth knowledge of FDA/ICH guidelines, B.P and USP, applicable regulations and standards routinely used in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in the FMCG or Pharmaceutical industry leading the technical aspects of new product introductions, technology transfers, technical risk assessments, product control strategies, validation, and change control
