Inland Analyst
Location: Escazú, Epic Corporate Center
Work Model: Hybrid (3 days in office / 2 days remote)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
The Inland Analyst is responsible for ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of import and export containers through effective coordination with transport providers, terminals, customs authorities, and internal stakeholders. This role plays a key part in optimizing inland logistics operations, driving cost efficiencies, and managing both domestic and cross-border transportation flows.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure timely dispatch of import and export containers according to service requirements and agreed timelines.
- Coordinate daily container movements and report operational disruptions, delays, or service failures.
- Collaborate closely with truckers, shipping lines, and terminal teams to ensure seamless equipment flow.
- Monitor idle containers, proactively identify potential demurrage, and implement preventive actions.
- Maintain accurate data inputs and ensure system integrity across all inland operations.
- Identify and implement improvements in inland operational processes.
- Drive initiatives to reduce intermodal, positioning, and storage costs.
- Coordinate equipment recovery and manage associated costs (M&R, repositioning, storage).
- Support planning and allocation of trucking resources across different ports and operational regions (e.g., Caldera, Limón).
- Manage cross-border transportation processes.
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in inland logistics, transportation, intermodal operations, or similar roles.
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, International Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of import/export processes and container logistics.
- Experience coordinating with transport providers and operational stakeholders across different ports.
- Experience in cross-border operations within Central America
- Intermediate English (required) to communicate effectively with regional and global teams.
- Intermediate Excel (data handling, KPIs, operational analysis).
- Desirable: Power BI and Power Automate.
