Job Description
Mission:
- At the core of the supplier relationship network, this position directly contributes to company value through the end-to-end procurement and management of injection tooling, ensuring optimal QCD performance (Quality, Cost, Delivery) throughout the tooling lifecycle.
Scope of Action:
- Lead sourcing and procurement activities for injection tooling across designated manufacturing sites and projects.
- Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers with strong technical capability, competitiveness, and reliability.
- Conduct technical and commercial negotiations with tooling suppliers to achieve cost savings, favorable payment terms, and robust contract conditions.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, standards, and procedures.
- Serve as the primary liaison between engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to ensure clear communication and alignment.
- Monitor and manage tool QCD performance from design and development through mass production and mold maintenance phases.
- Support mold trials, sampling, and validation processes in collaboration with quality and production teams.
Qualification Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Plastics Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
- Solid knowledge and minimum above 5 years of experience in injection tooling procurement or tooling manufacturing, with a strong technical understanding of tooling design, construction, and materials.
- Experience in automotive, consumer electronics, or precision manufacturing industries preferred.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage procurement projects independently with a strong sense of ownership.
- Collaborative working style, capable of sharing knowledge and building effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in English and Mandarin, French can be a plus.
