The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Company is seeking an Information Technology Senior Manager to join the SAP S/4 Program Delivery Office (PDO) to execute and deliver Finance Foundation/Central Finance S/4 capabilities using the SAP Activate methodology in either Dallas, TX; Plano, TX; Seattle, WA; Berkeley, MO; or Everett, WA.
The Program Manager will lead the program using industry program-management best practices and the SAP Activate framework. This role will integrate program components across a multi-stakeholder environment to deliver a large-scale, transformational change. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience planning and directing complex business-transformation initiatives and applying program-management standards to SAP S/4HANA programs of significant size and scope to ensure successful outcomes.
The PDO leader will define and secure critical resource plans — including required skills, system-integration functional expertise, technology and software, and other support needs — to achieve program objectives. This role is also accountable for regularly reporting program progress to Program Leadership, executive management, and program partners at defined intervals.
The individual must be an expert in global organizational management, capable of leading teams distributed across multiple U.S. sites and international locations. Strong business acumen, exceptional collaboration and partnership skills, and the ability to influence stakeholders and cross-functional IT divisions in a high-pressure, highly skilled environment are essential.
Position Responsibilities:
Define and implement a comprehensive Program Execution Plan, including integrated schedules, programmatic reviews, integrated resource management, resource-loaded schedules with dependencies, risk and issue assessment and mitigation, contract performance oversight, budget forecasting and financial performance management, program performance reporting, configuration management and control, program change management, and other integration governance activities
Oversee efficient and effective Program Delivery Office (PDO) operations
Establish and lead governance and PMO processes to manage the solution, decisions, deliverables, SAP Activate phases, schedule, resources, and costs
Define, formalize, implement, and communicate project-level governance methods, tools, and processes
Identify and document clear RAA and RACI matrices aligned to the program structure to ensure accountability for Solution Integration (SAP S/4HANA, legacy applications, data conversion), business and IT security and compliance, infrastructure support, testing, cutover, and organizational change management
Conduct deep-dive analyses of existing and potential problem areas, develop corrective actions and mitigation plans, and drive follow-through to timely resolution
Serve as the escalation and customer concern point for key project and program issues and risks
Connect solution and delivery integration points across functional workstreams and technical disciplines to enable effective collaboration
Develop realistic integrated project plans that are effort-loaded, resource-balanced, and dependency-mapped, and hold program teams accountable to on-time, on-budget, high-quality delivery
Ensure Program Lifecycle / SAP Activate phase deliverables are defined, baselined, produced, maintained, and communicated, including:
Test strategy and management (unit and system integration testing)
Data governance, cleansing, and reconciliation processes
System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and cutover planning
Report progress and issues through internal and external channels, including Executive Steering Teams and other executive boards as required
Develop, refine, QA, and communicate status reporting and program tracking outputs
Define measures and metrics to manage scope burn-down and demonstrate progress via clear reporting
Monitor KPI dashboards regularly and report deviations from plan
Maintain cost estimates for business and functional resources; prepare inputs for business/functional and system integration resource requirements for inclusion in the Long-Range Business Plan (LRBP) submission to the PDO and Program Executive Director
Drive day-to-day program decisions and resolve customer concerns
Manage the Program Change Control process, including review and submission of change requests for schedule, resources, and scope adjustments
Articulate, confirm, and communicate project goals, objectives, and critical path to project teams and partners
Coordinate project and program events with the Organizational Change Management (OCM) team
Conduct retrospectives and lessons-learned sessions, manage associated ceremonies, and track closure of action items
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree or higher
10+ years of experience working in a cross-functional environment with all levels in the business from individual contributors to executive leadership
10+ years of experience with Information Technology Program or Project Management
5+ years of experience with SAP Activate methodology/framework
5+ years of experience in organization management
5+ years of experience working within a global development team
5+ years of experience in a leadership role leading global teams, initiatives, or projects to meet business objectives and influence change
5+ years of experience with Systems Applications and Processing (SAP), S/4 HANA
Able to travel both domestically and internationally
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience communicating effectively with multiple levels of an organization
5+ years of experience managing a team of SAP Technical project managers
5+ years of experience in Information Technology (IT) systems
3+ years of experience in the Digital Transformation Environment (DTE)
3+ years of experience mentoring, coaching, guiding, and leading teams
Experience with the SAP Activate Methodology, system architecture, configuration, and administration
Experience presenting to multiple audiences, including executive leadership
SAP and other certification are a plus
