Information Technology Manager of Autodesk Systems

STV is seeking an Information Technology Manager of Autodesk Systems to join our corporate IT group. This position will be in our Denver, CO office.

The IT Manager of Autodesk Systems is a strategic leadership role responsible for the enterprise-level administration, integration, and advancement of STV’s Autodesk ecosystem. This includes platforms such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), Desktop Connector, and related cloud or integration services.

This role goes beyond support—it blends subject matter expertise, cross-functional collaboration, workflow automation, and governance with forward-thinking innovation. The manager will ensure Autodesk tools are scalable, standardized, and strategically aligned to support STV’s digital transformation and model-based project delivery.

Working closely with Digital Delivery, AEC disciplines, Infrastructure, and adjacent system managers, this individual plays a central role in enabling competitive growth, operational efficiency, and design excellence.

Core Responsibilities:

Autodesk Platform Leadership

  • Lead enterprise-wide deployment, packaging, and configuration of Autodesk software via SCCM, Software Center, and custom installers.
  • Establish and maintain firmwide standards for templates, palettes, workspaces, and shared configurations across all disciplines and regions.
  • Oversee the Autodesk content ecosystem including Revit family libraries, CAD blocks, and Civil 3D parts libraries to ensure quality, consistency, and reuse.

Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) Governance

  • Own enterprise-level administration of ACC including user access models, permission structures, project setup workflows, and folder standards.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs that align ACC usage with project requirements, metadata governance, and retention policy.
  • Serve as the lead subject matter expert for ACC adoption, working closely with project teams and Digital Delivery to ensure platform effectiveness.

Systems Integration & Workflow Automation

  • Identify and implement integrations between Autodesk tools and other enterprise systems (e.g., SharePoint, ProjectWise, Bluebeam, document management).
  • Lead automation initiatives to streamline repetitive tasks and improve cross-platform workflows using APIs, scripting, or low/no-code solutions.
  • Partner with other platform leads to ensure interoperability between Autodesk and Bentley or other AEC systems.

Lifecycle & Change Management

  • Manage Autodesk software updates, version control, and pilot programs, ensuring compatibility with Windows upgrades, remote environments, and project demands.
  • Coordinate with IT Asset Management and Procurement to forecast licensing needs, track usage analytics, and optimize cost-performance.
  • Lead technical testing and stakeholder coordination around major version changes or feature rollouts.

Enablement, Training & Adoption

  • Develop and maintain robust internal documentation, onboarding guides, installation workflows, and support materials.
  • Organize and deliver training for support staff, power users, and project teams to increase platform proficiency and tool adoption.
  • Establish feedback loops through user groups, surveys, and metrics to monitor satisfaction and continuously improve user experience.

Innovation & Future Planning

  • Evaluate and pilot emerging technologies within the Autodesk ecosystem, including tools for digital twins, data integration, visualization (VR/AR), AI-assisted workflows, and automation.
  • Participate in strategic roadmap planning and industry benchmarking to keep STV ahead of AEC technology trends.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage Autodesk platform enhancements and enterprise agreements for business growth and process improvement.

Vendor Engagement & Standards Compliance

  • Serve as the primary point of contact with Autodesk and authorized resellers for technical support escalations, licensing, roadmap insights, and training resources.
  • Ensure Autodesk systems and workflows align with applicable industry standards such as ISO 19650, USACE BIM requirements, and client-specific mandates.

  • Proactively drive digital delivery efficiency through thoughtful automation, content curation, and governance.
  • Collaborate across teams and disciplines to ensure holistic technology alignment—from infrastructure to project execution.
  • Lead adoption efforts by equipping users with the training, support, and documentation needed for consistent success.
  • Serve as a platform innovator—balancing operational responsibility with strategic foresight to advance STV’s competitive capabilities.

Compensation Range:

$131,710.96 - $175,614.61
