Industry Manager - Animal Nutrition

Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Animal Nutrition Sales Manager to lead our global sales efforts, with a special emphasis on Asia Pacific. This role requires deep understanding of the animal nutrition industry, regional business practices, and the ability to negotiate and close deals effectively within diverse markets. The ideal candidate will have established industry contacts, a proven sales track record, and a willingness to travel regularly to the region to build relationships and support business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market and promote our animal nutrition technologies and services to customers throughout the world, with a special emphasis on Asia Pacific.
  • Prospect new clients and expand the customer base within the region, both domestically and internationally.
  • Leverage regional market knowledge and application expertise to generate leads and develop new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with sales management to identify potential new accounts, develop regional sales strategies, and implement policies to maximize growth.
  • Provide leadership and tactical guidance to the sales team to close orders and achieve revenue and margin targets.
  • Review, interpret, and clarify customer specifications and technical requirements, organizing and evaluating data to support quote preparation.
  • Prepare and present quotations and proposals tailored to regional customer needs, ensuring technical accuracy and competitiveness.
  • Negotiate and close sales orders, managing the customer relationship throughout the sales process to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Deliver comprehensive, well-documented scopes of work to Operations, including specifications and technical details, and coordinate during engineering and manufacturing phases.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with customers and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution and customer satisfaction.

Specialized Skills/Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Agribusiness, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience selling capital equipment or technical solutions within the animal nutrition, feed, or related industries.
  • Proven success in negotiating deals and closing sales in the Asia Pacific region, with strong understanding of regional business practices and cultural nuances.
  • Technical knowledge of feed processing, conveying, mixing, or related systems within the animal nutrition industry.
  • Ability to solution-sell complex, technical capital equipment and applications.
  • Familiarity with regional standards, regulations, and certifications relevant to animal feed and nutrition.
  • Established contacts within the Asia Pacific animal nutrition marketplace; ability to leverage these relationships for growth.
  • Strong independent work ethic with the ability to operate effectively across diverse markets and cultures.
  • Willingness to travel >50% to the Asia Pacific region on a semi-regular basis to develop customer relationships and support sales activities. #LI-SC1
